Black Turnstones in Flight

Sitting on the pier, the Black Turnstones display only their black backs, and hide all their white feathers along with the reason for their names. Suddenly a noise on the pier frightens them, and they're off together. I love to watch them flying, and also turning over stones and kelp to find tasty morsels. Black and White Turnstones would be a better name.
